InterviewAI is a full-stack interview preparation tool built for developers who want a personalized, data-driven approach to interview prep rather than generic question banks.

Users upload their resume as a PDF and paste a target job description. The platform extracts the resume text, feeds it along with the job description into a carefully engineered Google Gemini prompt, and generates a complete interview strategy tailored specifically to that candidate and that role.

The generated report includes candidate-specific technical questions derived directly from resume claims and projects — not generic "What is React?" questions. Each question comes with the interviewer's evaluation intent and a detailed answer strategy covering concepts to explain, trade-offs to discuss, and likely follow-up directions.

Behavioral questions are generated using the STAR framework and grounded in the candidate's actual experience. The platform also identifies meaningful skill gaps between the candidate's profile and the job requirements, rated by severity, and produces a prioritized 7-day preparation plan with actionable daily tasks.

All reports are saved to MongoDB and accessible from a paginated reports dashboard. Authentication is handled via JWT stored in httpOnly cookies with a token blacklist for secure logout.
